About me
A Mainer by birth, I settled in Franklin in 2002 with my wife on 17 acres near Schoodic Mountain. With our backgrounds in environmental conservation, and my carpentry skills, I quickly set into building an ecologically-minded home and workshop on the property, while Becka has used her permaculture expertise to reclaim the depleted soils and create expansive gardens. I customarily work off-farm as a carpenter full-time now, while she grows food and runs a couple of seasonal rentals. Guided by the “Golden Rule,” we strive to lead conscious, engaged lives to create a better world. I like to explore the special scenic beauty of this area through trail running, hiking and paddling.
